Lepik & Luhaäär LAWIN has been granted the status of Certified Adviser in NASDAQ OMX Nordic-Baltic Alternative Market First North
The objective of alternative market First North is to provide through less regulation a wider circle of companies with a possibility for growth and create a new generation of companies, while offering additional investing possibilities for investors. First North gives the issuers a greater visibility and easier access to equity capital, combining the benefits of being on-market with simplicity. One of the most apparent features distinguishing the alternative market from OMX main market is the role of an adviser. The adviser analyses the company and supports it throughout the process by ensuring that the company meets the admission requirements and continuous obligations associated with having shares admitted to trading on First North. Being an intermediary between a company, the stock exchange and investors, a certified adviser plays a significant role in developing the alternative market. In order to guarantee high-quality services to First North issuers, only sufficiently experienced business and finance consulting companies with extensive experience in matters such as consultancy services regarding companies' capital structure, strategy, acquisitions and sale of companies or related consultancy services will be granted the status of a certified adviser. The advisers must also complete a special training programme for alternative market First North and enter into an agreement with at least on Baltic exchange.
