Lepik & Luhaäär LAWIN becomes the Estonian co-operation partner to Caselex database
Lepik & Luhaäär LAWIN is happy to announce that Caselex has chosen Liina Naaber-Kivisoo and Katri Paas to be the main Estonian contributors to the database. Caselex is a unique European case law database containing summaries of national case law linked to EU law. The database contains case digests of highest courts’ judgements in English from all jurisdictions across EU, covering currently areas such as company law, competition law, consumer protection law, employment law, environmental law, freedom of movement law, ICT and media law, intellectual property law, public procurement law, social security law and private international law. All case summaries contained in the database follow the same standard and include a headnote of the legal issue dealt with in the case, a summary of the facts and the court’s reasoning as well as a classification by keywords. Thereby, it converts fragmented national cases into easily obtainable and usable knowledge for legal professionals across Europe and beyond. Caselex co-operates with leading law firms and legal professionals who provide and review its case law content in order to make sure that the Caselex database is of superior quality in covering the respective country. Caselex’s co-operation network consists of leading firms such as Slaughter and May (UK), Hengeler Mueller (Germany), Uría Menéndez (Spain and Portugal), Mannheimer Swartling (Sweden) to name a few.
