Peter Whelan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Lex Mundi, the world’s leading association of independent law firms, visited the Law Office of Lepik & Luhaäär LAWIN
The purpose of the visit was to meet the lawyers of all three firms of LAWIN group and strengthen cooperation between Lex Mundi and LAWIN group. During the LAWIN group internal seminar, held on September 18, the vision, mission, values, ongoing actions and advantages of LAWIN group were introduced by Peeter Lepik, Raymond Slaidins, and Giedrius Stasevicius. Peter Whelan gave an overview of the activities of Lex Mundi and made a combined presentation about apartheid - the system of segregation and discrimination on grounds of race in force in South Africa from 1948 to 1991 and the activities carried out by the Law Firm Bowman Gilfillan in South Africa after the democratic elections in 1994. After the seminar, P. Whelan attended the reception and opening of the new client-wing at the office of Lepik & Luhaäär LAWIN and met the major cooperation partners and clients of the firm, who have business interests in the whole Baltic region.
