Seminar on Competition Law for Saint-Gobain Sekurit

Lepik & Luhaäär LAWIN organised a seminar on competition law for the leading producer of high quality automotive glass in Estonia - Saint-Gobain Sekurit Eesti AS.

Elo Tamm, a leading competition law specialist in Estonia and Attorney-at-Law, a leading lawyer of the competition law group of Lepik & Luhaäär LAWIN, gave a general overview of the main definitions of competition law, restrictive agreements, abuse of dominant position and application of the Competition Act by the agencies. Aini Proos, Deputy Director General of Estonian Competition Board, complemented in her presentation the overview given by Elo Tamm, setting out actual examples and practical cases from the daily work of the Competition Board.

Elo Tamm received her LL.B degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Tartu, and a LL.M degree from the Faculty of Law of the Central European University of Budapest. She has advised on implementing laws and practises as to restrictive agreements and abuse of dominant position and has been involved in writing of a number of articles and surveys on Estonian and EU competition law, including a survey on the damage claims in case of violation of competition law.
